fall colors are at their peak in nw alabama...and i am loving it! here is a small sampling from my outing yesterday...
our summer has been very hot and dry and many of our smaller creeks and ponds have become hardened, caked beds...
this is flint creek...where water lilies flourished and enjoyed by many wading birds and wildlife....so sad. hopefully, it will refill by next spring.
fall bramble....edging a now dry inlet....but still scenic.

bird viewing area at nearby wildlife refuge...sadly is dry, too. this beautiful spot hosts migratory storks and cranes as well as many species of ducks and geese. a favorite spot of many audubon fans.
the colors are so intense and brilliant, i gladly get out just to drink it all in.

Those pictures are so beautiful. Your lucky to have such beaty to look at. We are way past our peak. It snowed today. The pics you take a so clear. Now you have to make a great layout with them. :)

Very nice..such a shame about Flint Creek, but sadly is the same story as so many other small bodies of water all across the US.

What gorgeous colours Gina! It looks beautiful there in Alabama. I love seeing the fall colours, sadly we don't get much of it over here in the UK. Nothing to rival the USA's colours anyhow. Have a great weekend! Jeannette xx

Wonderful photos as always. What I would give to walk across that creek in the fall with it full. I bet it's heaven. The trees sure are. Thanks for sharing. We're starting to turn (the trees, not us LOL) and Kenzie and the girls were playing in the Oak leaves and picking some red berries on a big shrub and Kenzie broke out in hives on her hands, arm and tops of her feet. She's never had hives so I assume it was the leaves or reachin into the hedge.
Well have a great autumn weekend....we're supposed to be in the 70s for a week before we cool down...a little. :( I'm ready for fall.

You take great photos and I wish I could participate in something like this...it's another form of art that I truly LOVE.
