scalzi's monday photo shoot

John Scalzi's  Monday Photo Shoot: Such Great Heights

Show off a picture taken from a height. "A height" you can define as "Higher than I could shoot a picture by holding the camera over my head." Pictures from planes, from the observation decks of skyscrapers, from the roof of your house (although I don't want to put yourself in physical danger to take a picture) or wherever is up there in the air.

i love heights!!!  welll......i love heights as long as i have that false security of railing, or glass wall, etc. in front of me.  lol  here are mine....taken from a skyscraper....hot air balloon....mountain top....and a tower.

Very nice, I had to look at that last one a couple of times before I realized there was an entire football stadium tucked in the shot.  That provided a sense of scale I was not really prepared for...Wow!

Great photos Gina! I love heights too and I love taking pics from the top of buildings, helicopters, mountains etc, I've got loads of them! I've got one of a football stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, taken from the top of the Christ the Redeemer staue looking over Guanabara Bay. Have a good week! I hate heights... and stopped growing at 5 feet tall because of it.

I don't recognize the locations either... these are great shots! Clear. I've never been in a hot air balloon! Would love to, though. Bea

Gina,

These are lovely!  I, myself, am terrified of heights, but living in Colorado and traveling into the Rockies many times has helped me with that somewhat.  Here is my submission:
