when reading thru past challenges...'mysterious doors' just seemed to leap out at me. for over 2 years i've driven past an old double door set standing erect, separating a pasture and a yard. i have always found these doors intriquing - prehaps a portal into alice's world...or the world of narnia...or maybe even some other fantastic land of make believe....
and this particular challenge also brought to mind all the wonderful doors we saw in germany 2 years ago....
this massive door was at nurenburg.....
the panels of these metal doors of forchheim told a tale of history....our wonderful german friend (in red) was happy to relate to us...if only i could remember. :)
these ornate doors were to the music room in a salzburg castle
and this was an entranceway of a cobbled breezeway with lil shops on either side.

Wonderful doors. Yes the one's standing alone in the field would have my imagination racing every time I went past.
Great pictures. I like the one the best where they are standing in the grass. Wonder what kind of building they were in, Maybe an old school house? Helen

I love your collection of doors, I think you chose a very interesting theme to revisit. In your first picture, I wonder where the door leads as well. Every once in a while I'll see something like that, and it always strkes me as odd to see something you are programmed to see attached to walls and deviding rooms standing alone...leading nowhere. Or...does it actually lead somehere???
