Fantastic Gina!!
And I'm a little bit upset because somehow I missed the alert for this challenge.  I haven't been able to do them recently, but this time I could have!  And I truly believe that many, if not most weeds are indeed as beautiful as the sweetest rose.

These are really great! I love the way you've got such a clear focus and great depth of field on the subjects, and the blurred backgrounds. However did you convice that bee to hold still?

They're gorgeous Gina! Weeds are only plants growing in the wrong place, I read that a prize rose would be a weed if it was in a cabbage patch! Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

I really like this theme Gina.  Yes, they sure can be beautiful, and I really like how you have incorporated the insects into the pictures, they add a very nice touch.

These weeds are beautiful indeed! Too bad I missed this challenge, my yard is nothing but weeds -- and some really beautiful ones too. Speaking of, I don't have green thumbs either, I'm trying to grow some :-)

Oh Wow Gina!

You have some truly magnificent photos here! The skipper is gorgeous, as is the grasshopper. That is a grasshopper... right? Tee Hee. You are a brave girl, I am not sure if I could get a photo that clear. Jitters. Tee Hee. Good job with the challenge, perfect photos every one of them.

Always, Carly

Gina,
I’d be hard pressed to call something that well put together and photographed a “weed.”  It looks more like a beautiful wonder to me.
Thanks for sharing your photos,

The first weed photo is priceless. Did you know that that bee (or wasp) was on the flower.  Good shot!

those were all great pictures of weeds; didn't know that some of them were weeds!

What a nice variety you've got here, in composition and color and types of weeds. My favorite is the second shot - it seems very autumnal with that orange - based palette. Well done! - Karen
