A-Z Photo Challenge - I

i've been hardpressed for things to shoot lately and have resorted to exploring my back yard....trying not to think what my neighbors must think as i go along taking pictures of our shubbery and trees.  lol  but...i have always been fascinated with getting up close and personal with insects....as long as the critters aren't in my house or on me....they come in such a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

I is ALSO for "icky"....but hey, you did a good job though!  (I especially like the lady bug...though when we had tons of them IN our house, I didn't like them so much either!)

They're great Gina! The first pic of the leaf insect is beautiful, just look at his/her big lilac eyes! I adore the butterfly too. Well done for getting such good close ups, insects always fly or crawl away when I point a camera at them! Lol! Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

I actually really like the fly picture.  Love the detail you captured.  You have some very good choices for the theme, so I would say that it is worth going around you yard looking in your shrubs for subjects.  Don't worry about what the neighbors think...If they don't like it, blow the fly up to 17x25 inches and tape it to their kitchen window.

Wow, these are super! You don't often see people doing macros of bugs. Fascinating creatures, and so hard to do this well. Nice set!
